Terry Real has a national reputation for getting to the heart of the matter quickly and profoundly. Routinely, clients who see him leave an initial session saying, “We got more out of two hours here than…” He also has become known for working with individuals, families and couples that no one else has been able to help. Many of the clients Terry Real sees have made 1, 2, even 5 attempts at therapy with middling to unsatisfactory results.
The difference with Terry’s clinical work is simple:
- He gets to the heart of the matter with extraordinary speed and precision
- He dramatically transforms each partner, if they will let him
- He overhauls the relationship
- One-time consultation
- “On the brink” one and two-day intensives
- On-going therapy
- Business consultation (working with interpersonal issues in the workplace)
If you are a therapist wanting to make a referral to Terry:
One of the best ways to learn Relational Life Therapy is to collaborate with Terry on a case. Terry often works in tandem with therapists, seeing the client occasionally to accelerate the process, or to move the couple to a new place (particularly if the therapy is stuck.) You can bring Terry into the case for either:
» A one-shot consultation, or
» On-going work: Terry would see a couple every four to eight weeks, and collaborate with you about your continued work at the same time. Time frame and number of consultations will vary case by case.

- Integrating Attachment Theory into RLT
- To identify and work on your “edges” as an RLT therapist.

DATES: No Level 3 is scheduled at this time. Dates will be added as soon as we have a confirmed time.
Observation: Couples Experiential™
Local therapists are invited to come and sit in the room’s perimeter for the sole purpose of enhancing your training by witnessing Terry work with couples first hand. You'll see him work with a variety of issues, personalities, and conflict and learn how he brings the RLT model into his work. Observing therapists do not participate nor interfere in any way, simply listen and learn. This is the only workshop where we offer Observation.
