Relationships in the 21st century are nearly unrecognizable from previous generations. Note the following:
- According to recent surveys, more than half the Americans who might have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversaries since 2000 were divorced, separated, or widowed before reaching that milestone.
- For the first time since at least World War II, women and men who married in the late 1970s had a less than even chance of still being married 25 years later.

Skills / Terry Real’s Relationship Boot Camp
The world was quite different for our parents and grandparents. They needed marriage to help them survive the hardships of war, depression, dis-location, and disease. Tradition helped to keep them together. People expected marriages to stay intact.
In the 21st century, the rules have changed. Relationships are limping along or falling apart because the skills of connection were never taught. New skills are critical, not only to keep us together, but to awaken us to a world where love can flourish. In this dynamic workshop RLI Faculty will teach participants a new set of instructions for 21st century relationships.

Workshop Goals
All participants will:
- Identify personal areas of relationship dysfunction including the Five Losing Strategies™
- Learn and practice the Five Winning Strategies™
- Learn and practice healthy listening and responding skills
- Learn how to identify their CNI’s or "Core Negative Image"™ of their partner and what to do about it
Therapists will:
- Learn the skills necessary to teach couples how to assess losing strategies and how to move to the winning strategies
- Understand how to teach the practice of self esteem and using protective/containing boundaries to be connected and protected in relationship
- Give women the tools of relational empowerment and men the tools of relational reawakening, so that women can be lovingly assertive and men can learn to open up and show up

Who Should Attend?
This workshop has been designed for couples and individuals. We welcome couples that are simply looking to enhance their connection and relationship, to couples who are in dire need of marital support. Single adults who are not in an intimate relationship are welcome and wanted! This workshop is a requirement of the RRS Training Curriculum for Helping Professionals.

The Couples Experiential™ Workshop
Taught exclusively by Terry Real, this 3 day intensive workshop offers couples the unique experience of working with Terry. Workshop is limited to 8 couples. Therapists in the RLI Training program are invited to observe this unique experience.
Each couple will have an opportunity to work with Terry Real during the 3-day workshop, which will bring more awareness to the patterns that keep them stuck in relationship. Couples will continue the healing and recovery process that they began in the Relational Life Skills Workshop for deep, intimate connection.
